AFL Masters

The Game of Masters Australian Football (MAF) provides the opportunity for players 30 years and over to enjoy the game of Aussie Rules Football in a safe, supportive and fun environment. The game is played in every State/Territory of Australia with over 170 local clubs and 5500 registered players competing in local domestic competitions. MAF has a national standardised set of modified rules designed to reduce the risks of injury and has the benefit of being acknowledged and supported by the AFL and the Australian Sports Commission.

Public Liability Coverage

All AFL Masters affiliated Clubs, Leagues and Associations receive General Public and Products Liability (including Professional Indemnity) as standard cover within the Australian Football National Risk Programme (“the Programme”), as per the policy wordings, terms and conditions outlined under the Downloads section of this website.

Club Management Liability Coverage

If your AFL Masters Club is an incorporated entity, you also have coverage under the Club Management Liability Policy, as per the policy wordings, terms and conditions outlined under the Downloads section of this website.

If your club is not an incorporated entity, this policy will not be valid.

Personal Injury Coverage

Personal Injury cover is not automatically included for affiliated AFL Masters Football Clubs. All AFL Masters teams have been granted the opportunity to purchase Non-Medicare Medical coverage under the Programme for reimbursement of Non-Medicare Medical Expenses (including items such as physio, chiro, dental, and private hospital accommodation). Several options are available to purchase:

  1. Base Bronze Cover
  2. Increased coverage above Base Bronze cover (please refer to the Upgrading Cover section and download the AFL Masters Optional Upgrade Forms).

If your club wishes to take out more than the Base Bronze level of cover, you can do so by completing the standard Optional Upgrade Form (in addition to the Base Bronze Cover form). Two upgrade forms will be required in this instance.

How Do We Take Out Personal Injury Cover?

  1. Complete the required Optional Upgrade Form/s located under the Upgrading Cover section of our website.
  2. Attach your payment to the Form/s and forward it JLT Sport.
    Note – Coverage is valid from the date JLT Sport receives the form and payment.
